It should be like luxurious suede. Subtle and pleasantly elegant but in no way intrusive. The colours must be resistant and of course easy to clean. Naturally the construction standards have to be fulfilled in particular those regarding flame resistance. For a long time it was difficult to find suitable material until Winter Creation supplied the solution with Microweb Suede Deco. Then everything had to happen very quickly. The Hamburg University Hospital (UKE) is one of the most modern hospitals and research centres in Europe.

A total of about 6000 staff work there for patients and visitors. Thus high demands are placed on the interior fittings and fixtures. The well-known brand manufacturer in the property sector Erik Jørgensen had the interesting commission of equipping the sitting and waiting areas with chairs. This is what Olymp, the well-known chair manufacturer and interior designer of hairdressing salons also thought! They were looking for a trendy cover fabric with classic patterns which can be used in a hairdressing salon. A few weeks ago we opened the “Archithema” in Vienna the metropolis of architects and planners. A location perfectly planned by Peter Hirner, superbly artistically staged by Gilbert Bretterbauer, which meets the demands of the present as well as the future. The high degree of positive feedback from the selected visitors at the official opening substantiates our decision to dare this forward movement in times marked by steps backwards. Architects and planners, property designers and decision makers will offer specific advice in the new rooms. By filling the new rooms with life, the presence of three powerful companies and the professional competence of the staff we are looking positively towards the future, a future in which we are also there for you as a strong partner.
Hilton Cologne – Micropore® Nappa FR

The hotel has over 12 adaptable conference rooms including a 446 m2 conference hall, state-of-the-art technical equipment as well as a professional organisation and events service. The large hall’s chairs were manufactured by the well-known chair producers Burgess Furniture (burgessfurniture.com). Our Micropore® Nappa FR was chosen as the cover material. At the end of September 2009 the Stücki Shopping Center in the north of Basel finally opened its doors to customers. This is the largest Shopping Center in Switzerland now!

Micropore® Nappa FR travels on Zurich’s commuter trains
As part of the reorganization and renovation of Zurich’s double-decker commuter trains, Micropore® Nappa FR has been installed in a special choice of colour.
In addition to its low flammability, it also had excellent smoke emission results. The exceptional requirements were met by using Polyurethane (PU) instead of PVC and the natural raw material graphite (lead) as a flame retardant. In spite of all this technology, Micropore® Nappa is still as luxurious, supple and sophisticated as we like it. In fact, many people find themselves asking “is it real leather or not?“

Micropore® (like leather) was present at this year’s F1 event in Barcelona and in none other than the famous Paddock Club. It was the luxury caterer DO & CO in Vienna that provided the invitation to mix with the fast set. Speed was the key when it came to delivery too. “The crucial factors for us were the colour and aesthetics as well as immediate availability” said the Project Managers. Reasons for choosing Micropore® also included safety-related aspects such as its low flammability.
